ALIVE!
pre-u sem is over. stayed at prince george's park residences over 5 days. made friends from seminar group four and beyond! had a satisfactory time during the panel discussions and whatnot, amused by the types of and ways in which questions were asked and answered. i spent most of such sessions thinking, trying to come up with some intellectual conclusion, most times to no avail. but whatever insights that i managed to grate out, i cherish. parellel presentations were fun! hahas schools really tried to entertain as well as provide their own opinions. it was a great success definitely. day four, yesterday, was just the best! we had GUERILLA FILMING. okay so each group was armed with a nokia n70, an age-old toshiba laptop and 72 dollars and assigned a subject to make a documentary of! we got THE SECURITY GUARD mr leo of srjc. he was such a great sport! hahas we filmed him 'chasing' after bunz hahahas who was our 'thief'. boquan, our director, was smooth man. whoosh. hahas. deanna had many many excellent observations and suggestions and ras...she was just great to be with (: hahas. shawn is seriously steady with his hands ahhas seeing how the footage was all so 'pro'! hahas. bunz and i edited and put as much as we could together while they filmed different segments of the docu, and finally, the whole group came together, each taking turns with the input, and the group of us at the final stage, [sinhwee, bunz, shawn and me] thanks guys, for working like mad horses so efficiently especially at the end to bring it all to a successful and hilarious close! (: i love gfc 2. whee! played the night away...kind of. before we all got really tired and headed to sleep. stood too long in court shoes today...hahas. met the minister of our educational nightmares, mr tharman. and the curriculum planner, but most of the time i just held my plate and nodded. hahas. poof. after the final toast [!], everything passed too fast. zipping back to PGP, getting our luggage, checking out, saying farewells. then i was home. i miss everyone. SLOs, thanks man, you guys were awesome leaders. gfc 2 [boquan, deanna, ras, clara, xiaotong, shawn, sinhwee, bunz] and the rest of seminar group four [serene, jia cheng, mel, pris, farhan, liang en, zehra, rekha and rauf], THANKS A MILLION TIMES OVER for making this a regretless decision, and a tremendous learning experience. cheers to the participants of the 36th pre-university seminar.
